The Golden Walk captures one of them — a canopy of ginkgo in full autumn gold, arching over a sun-dappled path where a figure in blue walks slowly, unhurried, a small dog at her side. Rendered entirely by hand in oil, each leaf is built up in thick, luminous impasto strokes that seem to catch the light from within. The sky beyond is the purest blue. The ground beneath is carpeted in fallen gold.
